  • I knew there were a couple of regular posters who go every now and then but you post finds, etc so it's good. But I've never found a decent DTD or major finds as they seem to have gone by the time I get there :( It's just a little frustrating at it's the easiest store for me to get to as I don't drive and I always seem to miss out. Need to learn to drive, will help my bargain hunting :)

Good luck if you do go this week, hope you do better than I did :)

I'm sick to the back of teeth of driving. Having learnt to drive in a JCB when I was 12 then going to work on a farm for several years when I turned 17 the novelty has worn off somewhat. I enjoy driving in a foreign country though and having mums car when she is away is a godsend for getting the shopping in. I'd love to give that Ice Road Trucking a go!

    Night night. :)
  • Well back in and on my own wifi again lol. Had a few mins to kill as we waited before we went back into the store as we'd been overcharged on some light gun thing would you believe so thought I'd try hooking the lappy up to their own network to look in here for further glitches. Now thats what I call classy!!! :):) DTD given without any major issues.

Found very little else in store but did find a shelf full of the flash wipes, boxes and boxes of them in fact. The self scanners were not working which is odd as they usually do in this store so went back to a nice young lady who had earlier scanned some of the FF shirt and tie combos for me (full price) and she confirmed they were 25p. When I went back with a 'few' packs to actually buy she commented on how useless tesco'#s pricing currently is 'only yesterday I scanned someones pyjamas at 4p' she explained. I could hardly hide my laughter.

Popped very briefly elsewhere on the way home in search of a few whoopsies but little to be had tonight. Did get 5 of the lynx instinct sprays though.

He just b l oo dy annoys me at times.:mad:

It was 2 rounds each, luckily I had money as he normally always asks when I haven't got any, well I do, but it's an excuse I try so as to avoid going but I always get back "ach I'll stand ya a couple er pints and you can get a couple of rounds in next time" and then we get to the pub and he says "you'll be able to manage a round won't you?, it's not going to totally skint you". 9 times out of 10 no it won't skint me, but when he comes away with that I genuinely am skint it puts me in an awkward position.

Just tell him you've got a migraine next time and you need to go and lie down or you feel ill, or you've got earache ;):rotfl:But seriously have an excuse ready if you don't want to go.
Read that bit in my head in a strong scottish accent. My brother has a friend who's scottish who works down here most weeks and then goes home for a weekend and when DTD was on he used to phone me from T's to ask what to get but I could never understand him as his accent was so strong! I used to make him put my brother on the phone to inteprete:)

I've tried every excuse in the book, including "I've lost my wallet and all my cards and I'm waiting on replacements." and I still get nagged at. :(

Even I struggle to understand some Scottish accents, the weegie wan is the best tho
