Zavvi are hopeless

Why does it take soooooo long to get a DVD delivered from Zavvi ? They say it can take up to a month. Is the war still on ?

I ordered a DVD on the 23rd October and the status is still "Processing" . I have emailed customer services which came back to me with a "mailer deamon" error.

I think I will cancel the order as I am fed up with them.:(

I'm returning my one and only order from them.

I pre-ordered something as a gift, and the only option for delivery was the free option. Which sounds good, but it meant the thing didn't arrive until 5 days after it came out, and I stupidly thought the point of pre-ordering online was that you get it on the day it came out! We decided just to support the local economy and bought it in town for just £2 more plus a free t shirt and the first one is being sent back to Zavvi.

Play.com is another company who in my experience do not get pre orders to you on day of release. I found this out with many others when ordering a video game some time ago.

Most companies who do offer pre orders by day of release will clearly state this. In fairness to Play.com in particular they do not, not sure about Zavvi, never used them. I won't order from Play.com anything I want on day of release anymore, unless it is say a reasonable amount cheaper or I'm not going to be able to watch/play/use it until a few days later after release anyway.

As for the OP complaint, if the item has been released and is/has been in stock, then that is plain ridiculous.

I recently purchased a PS3 game from these idiots. They claim to have posted two copies out by mistake on the sameday. I have received one copy and three days later still no additional copy????

They have taken two payments from my account and have said they wont refund it until I return the extra copy...which I have never received.

Absolute jokers.
