Please help!! Impossible ask for hotel in london??!

I wonder if anyone can help me, not getting far with this at all!

I want a 4/5* luxurious (sp?) romantic, posh etc etc hotel in london for 2 nights on 23rd Feb, thats within walking distance of Piccidilly (sp again??) Covent Garden, Oxford St etc etc, but Ive got a max of £300 to spend.

Am I asking the impossible on this??? lol

Tried various websites but cant really find anything that isnt a bog standard room. Maybe Im being too fussy? :o

Yes, of course you are asking the impossible. If that is your budget, you will do well to get a private bathroom and room free of bed-bugs.
  • I think thats a slight exaggeration

It's too far away but... In docklands they have a Brittania hotel that has nice suites they have a smallish jaquzzi bath tube in the room...it's bit enough for 2 but still quite small...

    Try ...

https://www.hotels.co.uk This site seems to be pretty damn good lately! I booked a room for Oslo in May for £60 a night..all the other sites were showing me £110-115 for the SAME HOTEL !! You can also choose which section fo london you want too and I just did a quick peek..you can stay at a 3-4 star room starting at £58 so hope this helps...

You can also try ... https://www.priceline.co.uk

    Good luck :)

  • how about lastminute.com

Look under their top secret or luxury hotels. Usually when you read the info you can google the name of the restaurant in the hotel and find out which hotel it is as they don't tell you.

We've booked a couple of very nice places doing this.

yeah, under the secret hotels I get:

    Truly luxurious hotel - 5* - London
Deluxe king size double. Room Only -£190

    Seems GOOD.

edit: although, naturally, it doesn't say where it is - but could probably get a taxi with the spare dosh :)

edit again: searching for the one closest to piccadily, you get

Modern hotel in the heart of the Theatre District - 4* - London
    Deluxe twin/double. Room Only - £299
  • Thank you everyone for replies, going to have a look now :)
  • You can definatley stay 5* in London for 150 per night if you look around for offers. I stayed at the courthouse kempinski just off Oxford Street, opposite the entrance to Carnaby Street on a Saturday Night for £150.

I'd recommend doing a search on venere.com - really helpful website with lots of good maps/reviews, and reasonable prices too (which you also don't have to pay in advance)
Plus for 4% off, use code: BK5HX8W

I think it's a good idea to check out this website even if you find hotels cheaper elsewhere, as the descriptions and maps are generally better than other sites in my opinion.

    Hope that helps
