*runs around kissing all the lovely ladies on the head* I've been suffering with a really painful neck all week, to the point where I have to move my body because my neck is too painful to move even an inch in any direction (makes it very tricky to drive). Anyway last night I thought "what the heck!" and slept on my memory foam pillow with the middle cut away as normal, but with a pillow under my top knee (side sleeper) to keep my spine straight. Oh my it feels sooooo much better today, thank you ladies for the idea :) xx

Oh Kerri that sounds painful. I'm so glad that our weird sleeping positions aided you last night and you slept much better ! :D

Take Care when you drive, I struggle to twist to reverse and park with my back , its so frustrating. Did you do anything silly to cause your neck to hurt, or did you just wake up like it one morning ?!

Well yesterdays list was an epic fail. I hardly managed any of it, but we had a good day anyway and the letters can wait another day or two.

Managed to get all the bits bought for school, DD2 needed bras and knickers as well to add to the list, so the clothing budget pot for this month has been emptied, but thats fine , thats what its for after all.:D She also took back some bits she had recieved for her birthday that didnt fit, so she also came home with a lovely skirt and a pair of shorts so she is a happy little girl. DD1went out with friends last night to a party, all dressed up looking gorgeous ! DD2 decided that we should have a fashion show, so we dressed up in our finery, and she tried some of my dresses and shoes on ! I was pleased to find that I could stilll fit into a Karen Mi££en Dress that Mr Pinot had bought for me before DD1 was born ! Mrs Pinot was one happy lady, I can tell you !! They still drag a similar dress design out every now and then , so it wouldnt look old fashioned if I wore it now. The only problem is where would I go ??!!! :rotfl: A£di, Asda, or if I'm really spoiling muself Tesco ?!

We then settled down with popcorn and a bottle of Schloer ( yes Schloer!!, You heard me right !:D) and watched a movie. DD1 rocked up home about half eleven full of horror stories of teeny tiny outfits some of the girls were wearing , she had me in hysterics and also her tales and impressions of the very iffy dancing that was going on. She did make me laugh, she was supposed to be partying but she spent most of the night texting me to tell me who was wearing what, I might as well have gone along and been the old biddy in the corner !! Must admit though , it would have been interesting to be a fly ont he wall !

Well today is another day, I am determined to tackle the ironing first and foremost and settle down seriously to work next week when the girls are back at school.

The job we are working on this week has gone well and finishes Sunday, then Mr Pinot will be back home and working more locally until Thursday when he is off to Paris . I am sorely tempted to join him !! ;)
Maybe I could wear my Karen Mi££en Dress !

I just woke up like it, which infers that I've been sitting with bad posture for awhile as you can't actually do that much damage to necks & shoulders when you're asleep (especially as I sleep on my side and don't move a muscle).

Hope you have a lovely day today, where has the warm weather gone though? :(

Oh dear, poor you Kerri ! Hopefully it will improve over the next few days !

We have sunshine here now, it took a while to appear. Must admit I havent left the house yet today so I'm sure how warm it is though but DD2 is running around outside playing with her friends with just a t shirt on, so it cant be too cold. x

Cold and raining heavily. I have put the heating on :o

I'd love a dog, the Bear wouldn't, but we'll ignore his opinion on this occasion. As I'm supposed to work I've always put off getting one as it wouldn't be fair to leave a dog all day. The Bear sleeps all day so doesn't miss me in the slightest and being a cat wouldn't admit it even if he did!

    Piq

The Bear sounds just like our cat ( who cannot be named, for fear of his cover being blown !) He is so aloof most of the time , but must admit when we go away, he seems to recognise the sound of the car arriving home ( probably as its so noisy and chuggy !) and we watch him come running back from the fields to greet us. He spoils us with his affections for at least a day before going back to his old ways !

I love dogs, but dont really fancy all of the hard work that goes into owning one !! We had Great Danes when I was growing up and they were gorgeous, so if I ever moved into a huge Manor House complete with acres of land, maybe I would buy one ;) . In the meantime the bunny rabbit and he shall not be named will have to do !

Its my Birthday !!! Not today, but at the weekend. Dont think there are any plans as such, but Mr Pinot will be coming home at some point on the day. Ive really missed him this week, so that will be pressie enough for me !

I have a friend over this evening for a catch up which I'm looking forward to, and I imagine family will be popping in over the weekend , but other than that no great plans.

How about you NL, or anybody else ? Anything much planned ?

oooh happy birthday in case i don't pop in :):bdaycake:

Oooh thankyou for the cake, I will eat it on Sunday washed down with a glass of my fave !! After 7pm, I can assure you though !!;)

The Puppy sounds lovely, the kids will be thrilled. Hope you manage to find one of whatever breed you are after.

Today has been productive on the Money Front , I suppose -

I managed three letters with a houseful of 8 children at the time, so I think I did fairly well !

M&S - They have written to say that the payment arrangement is up, they only gave us 3 months and require the full amount of £7000 odd . Well they cant have it ! So I have written a very pleasant letter to advise that our circumstances remain the same and have asked them to continue with the current payment arrangements without interest for the time being. We will see what they come back with .

Fredrickson - They have thanked me for my payment this month and reminded me that our agreement for that figure is only temporary. They also implied that my payments havent been on time, and for the 2nd time have asked me to set up a Direct Debit. My arrangment that is in place ,specifies that I will make a payment of x amount at some point within the calender month due to our erratic income. So, they will also be receiving a lovely letter explaining that I will not be paying by direct debit, that I will continue to pay online as I usually do and reminding them that each payment has been received on time. I have also explainiend that by trying to make us set up a direct debit could push us into further financial difficulty as it is likely we wont have been paid on time, therefore we will incurr bank charges if the money isnt in the account to pay the direct debit. I pay them as soon as we receive any money each month and as far as I'm concerned it works fine, I just need them to agree !!!

NATWEST - Finally finished the letter politely declining their offer to refund £597 of charges and asked them to reconsider my request of an additional £300 ( I think isaid it was £200 the other day , but I got that wrong !)

MBNA PPI - SAR received last week from them, I dont think I mentioned this. I knew we had PPI on a card and interestingly included in the SAR was the original credit card agreement, in which we clearly did not tick the box for PPI. A tick, in another pen and clearly someone elses handwriting with a very strange signature like squiggle beside it has obviously been added at a later date. Our card was taken out in 1998 and the PPI began being charged in 1999, after we became self employed. So it all looks very fishy !

I have begun a letter to them today.....

Must dash I will finish this later, my guests for this evening have arrived .........

Have a lovely evening everyone x

My neck is still sore :( However, I'm watching Once Upon A Time episode one to see what all the fuss is about :) I think it was this diary that mentioned it, although it could have been Rosa's...

Have a lovely birthday weekend Mrs P xx
