Where's moozie? Right, let's kick this thing off early.
My plan to make lunch for the rest of the week has spectacularly backfired. And by that I mean I'm yet again without a pack lunch. Also, I've already been invited out for lunch, so looks like I'll be spending £5 or so.
Oh well, I promise I'll bring a sandwich or something tomorrow.
However, all said and done, today is a good day for another reason than expensive lunch - I finally dipped below £10,000 on my graduate loan. It's real - it now stands at £9,811.69 as of this morning having just paid off £404.87. :rotfl:

mornin' hbl,
After a blistering start to the week bringing my lunch in everyday I have spluttered to a halt today. So I will be spending £1.75 on a sandwich from the canteen.
Going shopping tonight so will be back on track tomorrow.
Have a good day all!Saving for an early retirement!0 -
About 4 or 5 months ago I used to struggle to find the motivation to bring lunch to work. And when I did, I would never want to eat it. So I would then go out and buy some!
I realised it was because it was so boring. So now, instead of making ham sandwiches, or cheese sanwiches. I make nice egg may baguettes, or tuna/cucumber sandwiches, sometimes pitta's too, or sometimes bring in a jacket potatoe and beans.
As well as this I also bring fruit, and a fruit bar in.
The most I spend on lunch now is sometimes 40p on a can of coke - only sometimes though.Amo L'Italia0 -

All last week I brought in soup - some homemade, some in tins and that worked quite well, but I haven't bought anymore since (haven't been to the supermarket) and while I've done alright breakfast-wise this week (cereal, omlettes etx) I've been rubbish at preparing lunch... ok new challenge for me, next week I'll prepare lunch every day. I'll brown-bag it.
On a side note, I've been off the booze all January thus far. I had intended to spend all Jan without indulging, but it's my mum's 50th at the end of the month and it would be a shame not to toast it! Perhaps I'll carry it on another 4 weeks in Feb?Student Loan Company Ltd: 17,805 (2.8%) Overdraft: 500 (Interest free)

Yesterday's NSD turned into a £4-er as we needed bread, milk, juice, and a paper for OH's job search. Have £1 in my purse and brought leftover pasta in, so will buy a banana or two for vitamins to have with it.
Tomorrow is payday, which with my current money situation is nothing to look forward to. Roll on February's payday!! Oh yes oh yes x0 -
