What a saddo going through ancient posts....

But not as sad as a drink driver who still tries to justify his actions :money:
For the record I'm entirely in favour of relaxing drink driving law.

Why does this not surprise me? So just how drunk should people be allowed to get before they get their license taken off them?
I of course appreciate you are a saint and would never, for example, use a mobile, smoke, wave, change the radio station, talk to a passenger, or any other thing that is more likely to cause an accident than alcohol.

I don't use a mobile while driving - that's why car manufacturers invented brakes and the DOE put lay-bys at the side of roads.
    I don't smoke
I can't remember the last time I decided to throw shapes whilst driving
I don't know how to change the radio station so not an issue
Talk to passengers - oh now that's a real danger compared to driving whilst over the drink drive limit!
Suki you're banging against the wall. People in NI follow the herd instinct: 30 years ago it was to be more self-righteously religious and patriotic than either the Irish or the British; today it's to bemoan the remaining - and now very moderate - religious aspects of Irish society and aggresively reattune our culture to that which people see on the television, which for all intents and purposes has become a surrogate pulpit.

Yet another pile of waffle that makes no sense so I can only imagine you've had a couple of medium strength beers already this evening :D:D

For the record I'm entirely in favour of relaxing drink driving law. I have a conviction as two pints of medium strength lager put me over the limit.

Serves you right. Two pints is too much to drink if your driving - your fault entirely.

suki - OK now take all those people over all those hours, and pop them all in the same place at the same time. In my book, that's worse. Peeing in the street is an offence, arrest them. I really don't see what that has to do with opening times. Indeed, if this lovely person had 24/7 licensing, surely they would have had all the time in the world to pee BEFORE they leave the bar or whatever, then wouldn't have to wait for ages for a taxi home.
