No because sometimes people offer useful suggestions to help one another to get these offers.

I don't see what the point of that would be. Isn't it easier to just pick up your phone and see what the offers are?

In a sense, yes, but notifications of new posts to this thread are useful as a reminder. That becomes less useful if the posts are just general chat.

What I was suggesting was a 'chat' thread and a 'no chat' thread - as happens elsewhere in these forums with this type of subject.

mines showing as from john lewis - have both a john lewis & debenhams in my town

the single male embarassment factor is too much for me on this one - would have been useful as a xmas present though
