Have you claimed dla for your child because that will then entitle you to carers allowance and a higher premium on the tax credits.
Don't worry about the 3 stone, i have 5 to lose.
Listen to everyone, they have been a great help to me, we used to owe about £40,000, thanks to this site it is now about £5,000.
  • Hi If Only
I just wanted to send you a hug and say I can relate to your story and you are not alone. You have had some really good advice. I just wanted to offer some more. Take what is of use and ignore the rest.
I had a breakdown and was put on anti depressants and they worked to numb me but I had side effects, I could not stop crying where ever I was. My doctors receptionist suggested I try a homeopath for my depression, anxiety and digestive problems and it really helped me. Yes it was more expense but it was worth every penny. I started to get better and take my control back. Also I would have a friendly ear for an hour that did not judge me and I could off load all my problems in private. Maybe this is something you could try.
I could be wrong and sorry if I am I mean no offence but you sound angry at your partner, is this something he is aware of. Talk to him about everything don't bottle it up, he might be relieved and want to talk too. Your nan and grandad knew you loved them and it was not on purpose that you could not say goodbye so stop blaming yourself. I still miss my nan, she died on my honeymoon and I did not get to say goodbye but she knew I loved her dearly.
There are lots of things you can do to help yourself. Encourage your daughter to get a part time job, I had a part time job at 16 in a bakers and was carrying on with my education. Get a note pad and take notes from this site. There are so many suggestions from budgetting, menu planning, advice on ebaying and selling on amazon - so many things. One thing that helps me when I feel like I am losing control is to clean my house and give it a good declutter. I chuck out stuff I don't need, I salvage what I can sell for my next bootsale or ebay and I clean and I feel better for it.
You are not alone and you have come to a good place for advice. Baby steps - you can not do everything at once so please don't feel bad. It will take time to sort out but you will get there. If you like reading go to the library and get some books on areas you would like to work on that would help you. You can borrow them for free! Put some music on and sing along, makes you feel better.
Like I said, take what you can use and ignore the rest. This works for me. I still get really fed up sometimes and occasionally depressed but I can pull myself out of it - I don't stay there. Wish you all the best.

Time to pick myself up and start again.
