Aldi - Product Information - Email address

Got an email today with Aldi's latest offers.
Fancied the AV Sender but the information was minimal
Clicked on the link and got the item showing on Aldi's site but little more information
I just wanted to know simple things like how does it connect to the TV etc
There is no facility on Aldi's site to email for more information
Internet search results show that lots of other people want to email Aldi but have not succeeded
SO
Why does Aldi provide such sparse information on their products
Why do they not have email contacts

I do like Aldi non food bargains generally and have bought quite a few in the last couple of years
When I have asked for more information in store the general answer seems to be - buy it and if you are not happy just return it.
The were doing a consumer survey at my local Aldi a while back and I raised the subject of sparse info on theit tech products generally but apparently without success

Sounds like you want to deal with a retailer with a costly support infrastrucure without paying for it.

Given that they can generally sell all that they have with minimum effort why bother incurring additional cost for no greater return ?
  • How can it be a " a costly support infrastructure"?
Their most similar competitor is Lidl who have an email contact page on their web site.
My local Aldi had a Netto directly across the road from them which has now re-opened as an Asda and there is also a Tesco superstore just down the road.
Aldi needs to get their act together - how can it possibly be economoc to not provide information on their products and answer it with you can bring it back if you don't want it.
If sensible basic information is provided before purchase then surely their returns would be substantially less.
Returns are a nightmare for most companies and cost them a lot in time and labour.
  • I think what k3lvc meant was that you want to buy something cheaply from Aldi, but are expecting the kind of service you'd receive from another company who have a costly support infrastructure. Clearly, one of the reasons why Aldi can sell things so cheaply is because they don't have this sort of infrastructure.

As the store are more than happy to issue refunds if the product does not meet your needs, just buy the AV sender. It will either work as you want, or if it doesn't, return it and you'll get your money back. Surely you can't lose (apart from time and travel costs returning the item)?
  • You could send an email here: aldistores@webershandwick.com to see if they have a direct email addy for Aldi.
