Tesco's are givihg 3000 points on their life insurance at the moment. There has been a big thread on this recently. Might be worth you looking at this. Hope this helps.

Better still a £40 tesco gift card on over 50,s insurance.;)

lilykim Try confused dot com or uswitch . But when you decide check out cashback sites to see what they offer on top of freebies from insurers.

Hi , if your looking for term insurance have a look at Virgin (Friends Provident ) with cashback through Topcashback.

If your after guaranteed over 50's cover have a look at Engage Mutual with £154 cashback through Topcashback.

With both you also get M&S vouchers for applying.

You will always get better cover if you go for a set number of years but if you want to cover funeral costs etc. then a guaranteed plan may be better.

Have you looked at Martin's insurance section? I don't see why you need a special comparison for over 50's, I thought you put your age in before asking for quotes.

The previous poster has asked the best question yet!

Do you REALLY need it? or are you being taken in by the sales hype of "only x pence per day for your peace of mind, and we give you a lovely gift when you take out the policy!!"
    Nothing altruistic about insurance selling!

If you do really need life insurance, then an over 50 plan is likely to be poor value.

Often they're advertised as being available to everyone, with no need for a medical. But that means the insurance company has to price the policy on the assumption the policyholder is in poor health. Often it's cheaper to get an ordinary policy after answering the health questions.
