Does anybody have the answer to my query please.....I order a coatigan from tesco on Sat night £30 but paid for in double exchange vouchers, collected this afternoon. Unfortunatly its in the sale for £10 today :( can't believe it! what happens if I return the one bought for £30 will I get my double voucher back? or will I lose them?? thank you in advance :)

Hi I asked about this when buying a coat for hubby at tesco services today the lady there said if i returned the coat i would recieve back £10 of vouchers so the amount before i doubled up. So she said best thing would be to do an exchange i would then get the double up value of vouchers in this case £20 to spend on other items of clothing

Hope that makes sense and helps

This is a bit complicated but I have just returned from Tesco after spending half an hour arguing with a trout !, yesterday I spotted a cardigan that I really liked, it was £12 didn't get it but saw this on MSE today (thanks OP) and thought I would call in on the off chance that they had that cardigan left. They had stacks of them, but now the price tags had been changed to £14 (which in this offer makes them £10, at the original £12 they would have been £5), the price tags had the perforated bit ripped off which did say £12 and a sticker randomly put on the rest of the tag which said £14. I looked through for one in my size and there was one but it still had the perforated bit of the price tag which said £12 and a big yellow round sticker on it that said £12, there was also another in cream but in a larger size so picked it up for my MIL, I took them to the till and they scanned at £10 each, (in the offer it should have been £5) so I queried it with the till assistant and there was a big song and dance, she checked the labels of the cardigans with the bar code on the tags, virtually saying I had changed the price tags, she said that she couldn’t understand why it they said £12 and others the same said £14 etc etc, anyway I get them eventually for £5 each but the treatment I received was awful, really feel like I don’t want to go in the shop again in case I get trouted by her. So what Tesco have done is put up the £12 jumpers to £14 over night so in essence all you are getting off is £2, surely that is unethical
  • thanks to op ..... managed to get a lovely new coat and two big chunky cardigans today for only £40 .... :T

I have the same problem! I ordered a coat online this morning and at that point there were only 3 coats at £20 and not the one I wanted. So I doubled up £15 in vouchers to get the one I wanted at £35. I came home this afternoon, had another look on the website and it's now £20! So I have doubled up another £10 and ordered it again! I phoned CS who said that I would get the original £15 back if I return the coat but that they will credit my cc account and I then won't get new vouchers until February! Has anyone actually returned something they doubled up on and can clarify how it works? Or is it usual Tescos hit and miss and depends on store/staff etc?
