I'm so stupid. the keys began falling off the laptop, and it soon became unusable. I bought a new keyboard, cos th eYou/tube video made it look dead easy....ha! It wasn't, I couldn't do it, try as I might.
Anyhoo, after many months of gathering dust, having a go, gathering more dust, I stuck it on Ebay. It has sold, and I confidently plugged it in, memory stick at the ready, to transfer pics etc. and delete everything. But I can't remember the password.
I don't know anything about a password recovery disc, and I'm a bit jiggered. Of course it's entirely my fault, I should've done this right at teh beginning, but I didn't because I really hadn't anticipated being a total numb nut!
Any help please oh clever techie peeps.:D

I ave a dodgy H, so sometimes I will sound dead common, on occasion dead stupid and rarely, pig ignorant. Sometimes I may be these things, but I will always blame it on my dodgy H.
Sorry, I'm a bit of a grumble weed today, no offence intended ... well it might be, but I'll be sorry.

Okay, you have another PC (as you're posting), can you write to CD's and do you have some blank ones?
What windows version on the old laptop?P.I.C.N.I.C problem: Problem In Chair, Not In Computer0 -
Windows 7 and I'm at a complete loss as to what you're suggesting..... See, i'm a bit techno thick.
I probably do have some blank cd's, but what would I do with them? Can I write to CD's? Probably with step by step instructions, I mean kids do it at school don't they? How hard can it be? Mind, that's what I thought about the keyboard.I ave a dodgy H, so sometimes I will sound dead common, on occasion dead stupid and rarely, pig ignorant. I've used ntpasswd with some success in the past, may be helpful to you.
Here's a useful walkthrough on how to use it.P.I.C.N.I.C problem: Problem In Chair, Not In Computer0 -
Stop bleating about being techno thick or whatever, it's time to learn.
What equipment do you have available? How many PCs, what type, make/model?0
