advice needed before i phone comet

Bought a tumble drier on 23 of July this year and last night the machine stopped at the final reverse tumble and wouldnt go.I tried it again and it works fine until the last bit and then stops dead.
I wondered if i am entitled to ask for a refund or replacement instead of a repair as its less than 4 months old.
What do i say when i phone?

No you are not entitled to a refund or exchange. Comet may offer to exchange it but very very good chance they won't. Outside of a reasonable inspection time <1 Month the retailer has to provide a remedy that they can choose.

You have no right to instruct them how to resolve, repair, replace refund, up to the retailer.

Dont let them fob you off with 'contact the manufacture, here is their phone no.'
Your contract is with Comet, that's where you bought it from
