Heating advice please

I'm after some advice for heating my flat.
It's a 2 bed 1st floor (1 below, 1 above) flat in South London, built in 1996. It has triple glazing, no gas, economy 7, panel heaters in the bedroom. The hot water is heated via immersion but I have an electric shower, dishwasher and virtually never take baths.
I recentally removed the original storage heaters from the living room and hall (though the hall is so small, it doesn't need heating).
I was thinking about buying a Dimplex DuoHeat storage heater along with the mains borne control system, but now I'm wondering if I would be better with regular panel heaters and ditching economy 7.
I work shifts and am regularly at home during the day, using computers/tv etc. Also with my flat being sandwiched between 2 other flats and the triple glazing means that my flat doesn't get that cold.
Any advice?
