ICICI Bank

Has anyone else had problem with ICICI Bank? I tried to take money from my account and had instructions confirmed. However, I never received money. It was not taken from the ICICI account. When I tried to query this by email I received no replies to three emails. I contacted them by phone on three consecutive days and each time was promised I would be contacted by phone the next day. I thought my request that I was sent the funds by CHAPS at their expense was reasonable considering they did not act on a confirmed transaction. I am still waiting for the requested funds and the phone call with a response to my request. How can a bank working under British Banking Regulations ignore a customer like this? I now wish to withdraw all my savings but wonder if I will have any success.

The key part is this quote:The main one is that, despite having a presence in the UK for three years, ICICI Bank still do not comply with the UK Banking Code, which sets minimum standards for customer service.0 -
And, because the article above was written back in September last year, also read the following one too:

This article is a bit more up to date (actually 12th January 2007) and the key part, after discussing a couple of technical difficulties, is this quote:Seymour Fortsecue, chief executive of the Banking Code Standards Board told This is Money that the bank was working on several aspects of its customer service and it was likely they would become compliant within the next few months.0
