Ruined wedding invites from Vista Print

Hi Everyone,

Im really annoyed with the delivery company they use

I ordered lovely save the date cards, thank-you cards, notebooks, banners, address labels, place cards and letter heads and the stupid delivery driver left it outside when it had obviously been raining all day here and its all soaking wet. Its only a thin cardboard box and no packing or anything inside to sheild anything :( I would have thought they would have tried with a neighbour, left it in a bin and left a note or arranged to re-deliver it.

Everything i ordered was on offer for "free" so i only paid postage of about £20 but thats not the point.
I have emailed vista print as they claim if you are unhappy with your order they will refund within 30 days but does this apply to me? I know it wasnt directly their fault but i still havent received the items in good condition.

Has anyone had any experience with this?

Thanks :)

  • They should be able to claim from their courier and re-send to you.
  • sorry to hear about this- i have used them many times and not had a problem- but then again this seems a problem with royal mail rather than vistaprint? maybe need to claim via them?- wait and see what vistaprint say

looks like your wedding is just under 2 years away- so i wouldnt worry to much- am sure you will get sorted

It was a company called GSL from the Netherlands but ill see what vista print say.

I made an order with them before and actually paid for the items which was nearly £60 and it was great i was really pleased so just disappointed this time :(

I know im not getting married for ages but these were a good deal and i liked the designs so i wanted to get it while i could, im a very organised person :rotfl:

  • It would be better to check in Consumer Rights if necessary but I'm confident that Vista Print will resend your order at no charge. If Vista Print get fussy about it (which I think is unlikely) I think that by law Vista Print will need to claim the costs back from the delivery company and you should not be out of pocket.
  • Thanks everyone :)

I'm not very good at knowing my rights etc so just wanted to see what other people thought :)

I sent an email bit they say it's 48 hours to get a reply and they close tomorrow at 4pm so probably won't hear anything until next week

Definitely let them know...I've found them really helpful. I know once they sent wrong envelopes with out invites and I rang them, they sorted it there and then no problem. I'm sure they'd be glad to know as their reputation could get hit by bad couriers. I'd always let a sender know for that reason - I bought some stuff of ebay from a really lovely seller who had written 'Fragile' in big letters across the package - Royal Mail postie saw fit to shove it through a conservatory window where it fell 5 ft to the floor! No serious damage but I complained to RM and told the seller as she's paid them postage to deliver the thing properly

Vistaprint will sort it, I've had various issues with deliveries and they have just replaced.

At a guess Sammy was saying it was the fault of the delivery people not Vistaprint and assumed it was Royal Mail...at that stage OP hadn't said who it was that had made the delivery. Not an unreasonable assumption as RM do still make an awful lot of deliveries

I have to say the last time I bought anything from Vista Print it was sent via Royal Mail. I would also have assumed it had been sent by them this time. Dont be offended over nothing, please.
