Hi Lovelies...
Okay im on a money saving mission and im using up as much as I can before I buy more...
This includes my bathroom cabinets which are rammed with smellies ect..
I have normal conditioner but I really need an intensive one as my hair is really long and needs a really good cut but im going to wait till december if I can.. I have Bio oil and a cheap alternative could I mix a bit of this with normal conditioner? Dont think it would be good for everyday but maybe once a week??
Any tips very much appreciated..
Oooh and on any other ideas with all my smellies... unfortunately most have been opened so cant give them away as presents
Thank you

I remembered reading this one as a tip from a top model Marie Helvin. she used Olive oil warmed slightly and slathered on to her hair - she then wrapped it in a warm towel (I used cling film first as I didnt want to wash oily towels!). left it for a few minutes then worked mild shampoo through it and rinsed. then washed again.
result - well conditioned hair and I still use this method today - nearly twenty years later! I have never used bought conditioner since.
Her other tip was using either Olive or Sunflower oil to remove make up - that works too! even on waterproof mascara. It keeps the skin well conditioned and at nearly sixty I have NO wrinkles or lines!
Thanks Marie!0 -
It might not work for you but i heat my hair conditioner bottle up in a jug of hand hot water for 10 minutes before i use it. I swear it makes a difference. This is a system account and does not represent a real person. To contact the Forum Team email forumteam@moneysavingexpert.com0

Hi DjShimmer,
These Old Style threads may help:
Hair Conditioner
Anyone got a 'Recipe' for Hair Conditioner?
And from the Health, Beauty & Fashion MoneySaving board;
Home-made intensive conditioner?
Cheap home made intensive hair conditioner?
Now that we have a Health and Beauty board, once you've had some input from the Old Stylers I'll move your thread over there.

I dont use HM shampoo - I use the largest cheapest supermarket brand! I find the 'posh' ones have too much perfume and I am often allergic to them!0

I use shea butter for conditioner and facial moisturiser, add lavender e/o to make it special .
