I went to a concert last night, but when I got there the seats I had bought were already taken. The usher checked both sets of tickets (ours and the seat occupiers) and was happy that all was above board, but we had to move. We ended up sat in worse seats.
What's my next step? I have complained via email in writing, as advised by the ticket issuer, but what should I reasonably expect as compensation? (Obv. I want my money back, but am I likely to get it?)
Thanks

The seats may have been worse, but were they cheaper ?
All I can see you being entitled to is the difference in price (if any)between the seats you paid for and the seats you ended up sat in..
Other than that, if you're lucky you may get some sort of vouchers or something as a good-will gesture....
 [Added:
My reasoning for the above is based on the assumption that you stayed in the "worse" seats offered and saw the concert, and so effectively accepted what the usher was offering. If you wanted a full refund, then I think you should have told the usher that the offered seats were unacceptable replacements for the ones you had actually bought and walked out before the concert started.0

They were cheaper seats. I am only expecting to get the difference really, but it's annoying that I chose these particular seats and couldn't sit in them.
Oh well, worse things happen at sea. 0 0
