I recently purchased two graphics cards for my pc which offered a free game with each, the games are codes sent to you by email which you then enter elsewhere and download the games. I ordered the graphics cards along with the rest of my parts for a new PC on the 15th of October and received the parts on the 18th and they of course took payment for the items. The game itself is not out till the 18th of November. Today I received an email from the website where I purchased the parts which said the following:
Dear Customer,
We noted that you requested a copy of “Batman – Arkham City” that was advertised with the purchase of your recent graphics card.
We have been informed from the manufacturer that this offer was a limited period “whilst stocks last” offer. As such we have been notified from the manufacturer that we will no longer be receiving any more vouchers for this specific game.
We apologise for any inconvenience caused, and as such offer “Stalker” or “Dirt3” as a replacement.
Please inform us, by way of reply to this e-mail, which game you would prefer and we will send out immediately.
Many Thanks,
I was just wondering because the website I purchased the items from failed to state this anywhere and took payment, do I stand any chance of getting them to send me the codes for the game even if it was to leave them out of pocket by having to buy the game to send it to me.
I really appreciate any help as I have no clue if I have a leg to stand on here, I specifically brought the cards at this time so I could avoid having to pay for the game.

I would assume that if these 'terms' were not disclosed as part of your sale the game is still due regardless.
THEIR contract with THEIR supplier doesn's not affect YOUR contract with THEM.
I assume they did a deal to get it cheap, and since they can no longer get it cheap they don't want to give it to you.
Check your terms. If noting is mentioned about 'limited period' then I personally would demand to have it.
But be warned. If they refuse normally I would cancel the contract (as they haven't prvided what I paid for) but I assume you will have installed the graphics card so sending it back for a full refund would be a pain in the bumI get what i want. That isn't because i'm a brat or spoilt. It's because i'm determined, i work hard for it and i achieve my goals!0 -
Exactly, I will push them a little to see what they say but i am pretty sure they will try their hardest to wriggle out of it. Thanks for the advice.0

I sent them an email expressing my opinion. It will probably take the best part of a week to get a reply, I will update here when I receive a reply.0
