Might be a stupid question.........

but does anyone know if you need a passport to travel on an internal flight. Say from Edinburgh to Manchester?

Thanks

you dont need a passport as such, but you will need photo ID.

so most people would just use their passport...or a valid drivers licence with photo

    thanks.

I take it my driving licence should be sufficient.

Infact you can get away with a credit card as I found out recently. If you book online and then do a self service check in you avoid the ID check!
  • Six months ago I travelled to Belfast with a provisional drivers licence with the wrong (old) address on it. They were fine. Photo Id's all you need!

I remember last year when I traveled all the way to Spain last year without being asked for my passport or ID...I was kinda worried that security just didn't seem to care :/
