I used the form available on their site.0

How long ago?
Just the once?
Did you get an automated confirmation that it had been received?
Does it say how long they normally take to get back to people?0 -
I've just claimed my second £50 cheque- my first was 13 months ago. I'd had the account for ages before that but only started using it more a few years ago.0

Through the years I've received several cheques from YouGov, although surveys tend to be thin on the ground!
They are slow at replying to emails though. When I had a query it took ages for their reply. Give them a few days then re-contact. They will eventually get back to you.
Good luck.0 -

It would be nice to have a £25 tier. (With HI points/Harrispoll you lose out on the first tier, as you get 1600 for £10 and 2500 for £25)0 -
I thought this was happening to me until they replied to my email and explained things.
It shows on your statement as them taking points off you for the free prize draws but they actually award you with the points and take them off at the same time. Evidently the only way they can enter you into prize draws is by taking points of you.
If you click no thank you then they give you the points that you earned. I know it's very confusing and ive probably not explained things very well but they arent scamming you.0 -
I have been doing YouGov surveys for at least 5 years and only had 3 cheques in all that time. At least they did come across with the £50!
I submitted an application for a fifty pound cheque on 5 Octoberwhich took me over a year and a half to get enough points for, and this application was accepted. It then intimated on the Rewards register that my ponts had been redeemed and presumably posted on 28 October.
I never received the cheque, and it states on the web site that if you don't get it withing 4 weeks you should contact them by email!
Despite sending several emails, I am being totally ignored, and the consumer protection agency is as much use as a chocolate toaster!
Imagine Yougov having the cheek to conduct surveys on behalf of organisations on poor customer service. The words pot and kettle spring to mind!
Has anybody been through this and could maybe advise me what to do?0 -
Well I finally had a response from YouGov customer service. They acknowledge that the 500 points were deducted by mistake and apologise for the inconvenience caused. The email said that this some times happens through a system error which they are looking to rectify. The points should be put back in a couple of weeks.
But my gripe still remains that they don't pay out often enough. I wish I could make everyone to boycott them until they change this unethical practice.

I am sorry to hear you have been done by YouGov, though I am not at all surprised. They just seem to do as they please knowing full well that they can get away with murder.
I don't know if there is a consumer group you could complain to? Perhaps other members can advise.0 -
That's great that it's sorted, Mike.
If I were you I'd be asking them for a goodwill gesture to cover the inconvenience.0 -
They pay out when you get to £50. I've had one pay out from them and I'm half way towards another. I'm quite happy to wait as I have loads of other survey sites that keep me busy. I was careful not to exchange any points for draw entries as it does take a while to build the points.Don't mess with pensioners. :cool:0
