Hilariously Obvious Scam

Just got a call telling me I'd won a holiday.
I thought "okay I'll play along!"
American caller "Hi, you've won a holiday through your holiday points from Halifax Bank"
Already I knew this was a lie as Halifax don't do "holiday points"
American caller "Can you just confirm your expiry date on your card"
Me "Yep" and gave him a false date
American caller "Okay thats great, now I have down here that your card begins with number 4404 - is that correct".
Me "No"
American Caller "Oh, thats strange - can you just confirm the long number on your card"
Me (hysterically laughing) "No, I don't think so"
American Caller 2 "Hi, I'm the supervisor, we only do this promotion once a year because of the oil spills in America - can you confirm whether you have a VISA or a Mastercard"
Me (still hysterically laughing) "I have neither"
Surprising he put the phone down on me
How obvious can a scam be????

Sadly some people must be fooled by it, otherwise it wouldn't happen.
You could always give them a fake CC number aswell to waste more of their time
