Thanks Chameleon and mousey...maybe I am being a bit previous then! I have done one roon today with the indorex and doing the rest of the flat tomorrow...I just can't bear the huge wriggling sods coming out!!! Both my lovely girls like to be groomed and I am finding the nit combs provided with nit treatment great for trapping flea dirt and the bugs themselves.
Happy de-fleaing everyone!
Hopefully they will die of in a few weeks if I keep up the routine.Just keep passing the open windows.0 -
I should also warn you its very good at getting rid of worms too. So, if you see anything white around the back end (I have x2 black cats so its pretty obvious) its the stuff doing its work.0

Thanks mousey...will examine them closely later. I think I have been a touch heavy handed with the indorex as I've only sprayed the 2 bedrooms and have nearly run out!! Am hoping pets at home sell it otherwise I'll have to wait a few more days to get an online delivery.:(Just keep passing the open windows.0

Haha a whole can should be sufficient for a 3 bedroom house :rotfl:
I doubt you'll find Indorex at Pets at Home, it's not sold in pet shops. You could try Boots or your local pharmacy though, if they're licenced to sell pet products.“You can please some of the people some of the time, all of the people some of the time, some of the people all of the time, but you can never please all of the people all of the time.”0 -
I did my cat with a well known flea treatment Frontline and then got some spray and constantly hoovered with dyson, we washed sheets in 60c and still got it fleas. We doing same but now using advantage 80 and some flea spray called Indorex, again hoovering and washing bedding and suspected clothes. So far 2 days no bites but I am not confident we got rid of them. Whilst I haven't got bitten I itch its probably in the mind0

A good medicated shampoo is the best, kill the lot in one go, then treat the bet once the crawlers are dead.Hi, we’ve had to remove your signature. If you’re not sure why please read the forum rules or email the forum team if you’re still unsure - MSE ForumTeam0

Eh, only a suicidal maniac would think that shampooing a cat is a good idea. A combination of Advantage and Indorex will get to grips with the infestation but it won't be instant. The fleas will continue to emerge from wherever they have pupated over a period of time but the two products will work eventually.0

Thanks everyone!
Had to get something called Staykill yesterday just so I can do the stairs and living room and sofas today. Thanks for the links though...will be off to find more indorex there ; I will conquer the fleas!! Todays plan is to wash the remaining cushions, pillows and stuff and every single item of daughters clothing...she has been bitten so badly.

Depending on your council some of them will treat fleas free of charge, best to check on your local councils website.0
