I have just renewed my overdraft with Lloyds TSB for our biz a/c and have been charged £175for this. Has anyone else been charged such an extortionate amount? Not best pleased, especially as years ago I used to work for the bank in question and I know just how quick and easy it is to set up an o/d

Yep, RBS charges us £110 just to say 'OK, you can carry on having your overdraft for another year'! We haven't even asked for an increase (or decrease!) so it's exactly the same. So why does it cost so much? Makes me really angry that they're stinging small businesses like this.
Wouldn't mind but they're getting a quarterly service charge and charging us interest on a monthly basis - wonder what else they can squeeze out of us!0 -

I know, my business manager does not give me any confidence at all either! Am thinking of changing to Alliance & leicester as their a/c's are free banking. Will be phoning up Lloyds and asking for refund - will let you know the outcome although I think I know it already!0 -
Id suggest going to Barclay's as they know what there doing and they train there managers in the way you want them, that worth every penny paying there fees. My business manager has banned my card and wont give me one for another 6 months and his reason, because I went into my unauthorized overdraft by £4 for 1 week, didn't even know until he phoned me up, forgod sake whats the world coming to. He'd soon panic if I knocked him 20k and left the country.Kind Regards
