Problem with Automatic Headlights on Citroen Picasso

Options
I have had this problem two years running after getting my citroen picasso serviced and the garage cannot resolve it. It seems to be once they hook it up to a computer for the diagnostics it turns off the automatic headlights.

The manual for the car makes no mention of how to activate automatic headlights. I made a note of how I resolved it last year, turn ignition key but not the engine on, turn stalk to automatic and press end of stalk until you hear a tone and the display flashes automatic headlights. I have tried that again this time to no avail.

I have tried some google searches but am not coming up with anything. Can anyone help?

How old is the car? What have the garage done to try to resolve it?
The greater danger, for most of us, lies not in setting our aim too high and falling short; but in setting our aim too low and achieving our mark
