Hello there!

Am recognising some lovely familiar names here - hope anyone who remembers me (and even those who don't) are well!

Please forgive me for posting slightly off topic, but I would very much like to get a message to philnicandamy and they don't accept PMs on this site - I've seen that they post here sometimes, so I hope they will get to see this.

They left a very lovely message on my homepage (Jasper's bloghttp://jasper-thedogsblog.blogspot.com/) after visiting and reading that Jasper sadly lost his life after succumbing to cancer on 5 January) and I don't have any other way of thanking them. Please forgive my impudence...

Dear Philnicandamy,

Thank you so very much for your kind words on Jasper's passing. I apologise for not thanking you earlier - I have been hiding away from the world.

I was deeply, sincerely touched, not only that you took the time to visit the blog, but for taking the trouble to send such a lovely message.

I will try and update the blog from time to time, but I don't want to write maudlin and grief-stricken entries, as that would not be what Jasper would have wished, and I don't want to bring people down. But I am anxious that the blog and its 5½ years of entries stays available and spam-free!

Thank you again for your sweet words of consolation and comfort; they mean so much to me.
