I've done a search here, but not being techie, I am a bit lost.
I did the SP3 and IE8 updates yesterday, and when I restarted, the new version of Outlook (orange icon) had dumped all my saved emails, folders and my address book.
Any ideas how I can get it all back? I assume the info is still on my hardrive somewhere.

Windows Version? I'm guessing XP if you're using IE8?
SP3 for what? (I know it may be obvious to you, but Microsoft does LOVE service packs) and if you have installed Microsoft Office recently this could explain a few things.
Is it possible that you have multiple e-mail clients installed and the update has switched the default? if you're on XP, try this:
1]Log on as Administrator
2] Open Internet Explorer, click the Tools menu, select Internet Options. Click Programs tab and select your old email client from the drop-down list. Once selected, click OK/Apply button.P.I.C.N.I.C problem: Problem In Chair, Not In Computer0 -
Thank you leseul - just tried it and it worked - appears I was on Outlook Express before, but the update put me on Office Outlook - hadn't noticed the difference (said I wasn't very techie *lol*) - so I've swapped back - easy when you know how I suppose, but I'd never have worked it out myself
