Saving account for mortgage deposit

Hi all,
Please excuse my ignorance but I wanted a bit of advice.
Myself and my girlfriend want to create a joint savings account purely to save for a mortgage deposit - we'd be putting about £4-6k in initially, then anything upto £500 a month afterwards.
We're not looking to buy for 12-18 months, and we'd not be withdrawing anything out of it.
Anyone have any advice on the best way to go about doing this/who we should go with?
All advice is much appreciated.
Thanks,

Both the Halifax and Nationwide have regular saving schemes for FTB's. May be worth considering.0
