After emailing the Halifax CEO and service team yest, over my misnamed PPI cheque, sinead has just phoned me full of apologies saying i am now marked as a priority, and my cheque should be reissued this week and should have it nex week. Not holding my breath though, but i will give them till mon before harrassing them again if i've not heard anything.

That sounds like good news, good luck.;)
May I ask how long you have been waiting since they upheld your complaint please?
This may help others in the same position, cheers so muchly.:)The one and only "Dizzy Di"0 -
Can't answer that one as my cheque arrived on saturday along with my acceptance letter! Mine just stated that as long as i was happy with the amount i needn't do anything and a cheque would be sent in due course!
Good job i was happy with it then eh? Apart from the fact that they put my maiden name on cheque even though my correct name was on the letter the cheque was attached too!
They were 3 weeks over their 16 week limit for getting back to me though, if thats any help.
They didn't really have a leg to stand on though, i'd already been diagnosed with Crohn's when i took the card out and the PPI box had never been ticked!! They just decieded to start charging me for it anyway.

Congrats on your result, but it just highlights the how unorganised Halifax are about this whole thing. If I have read your email right you have waited 19 weeks from you made your complaint, while others like myself have been waiting for 10 weeks from our acceptance letter and 26 week from initial complaint. This despite thier inistance that each case is be looked at in turn.
Excellent result all the same!0 -
Aaagggh!
Sorry had to do that!
Today i received my credit card, letter in correct married name, card on bottom also in correct married surname, but as a MISS! :mad:Which to me is worse as i have never been that person! At least i had been me! This is also their second attempt at getting it right, my 3rd time of telling them the correct name.
Not holding out much hope now of second cheque arriving in correct name now! If and when it arrives. Have emailed the CEO again though to inform him that i don't really find this acceptable! and to reinforce my correct name.
Is it just me that finds this unacceptable? or am i right?.
All i know is, as soon as this is, sorted i'm closing my 2 accounts i have with them, which is a shame as i have had the one since birth (opened for me) just updated it as gone along, and i'm now 38!
Sorry again but feel better now. xx:lovethoug0
