adult children affect benefits?

    Hi until recently l was in similar circumstances, we lost all but £1.25 of housing benefit cos daughter works and paid half the normal council tax, it did not otherwise affect anything else. Thankfully things have changed so my daughter wont be as skint!

    I'm not sure where you got that figure from but it is not the same figure for everyone. There are seperate non dependent deductions for housing benefit and council tax benefit and the deductions will be based on what the non dependant's earn.
