Have any of you had problems with Capital One.
I recently applied on line and got through to the on line signature and told to await a reply in 7-10 working days or 2 weeks.
Having waited over 2 weeks and having had no communication from them, I rang to be told the application hadn't been declined but cancelled the day after I applied.
They couldn't give a reason in fact the man I spoke to said he couldn't find any reason to have had the application cancelled.
He didn't know whether or even a letter had been sent out.
He suggested I apply again but couldn't say if it would be accepted, declined or again cancelled.
There IS a footprint on my Credit File, in fact 2 entries by Capital One on the same date, so there is no way I can risk applying to them or anyone else because of this.
Why would they check twice?
Are they notable to give a reason why an application would be cancelled.
I understand a decline, and that they are not obliged to give a reason, but in the case of a cancellation?..
Any ideas?
