Prepayment Card Meter Debt question

Hi

My gas ran out two nights ago (at night) , i used emergency credit (only about £3 worth) since then. I proceeded to top it up tonight and when i was putting credit on the meter i had x.xx for emergency credit, and x.xx for debt, and x.xx for gas.

The question is why am i paying debt? Is this debt for the night it ran into emergency credit?

I am not behind with any payments and there hasn't been debt before (i think!).

I'm with npower

Thanks

Kevin

Press button a and hold then keep pressing at screen 23 it will ask you to insert card then go on to screen 26 it will tell you if there is a debt on the meter and how much.
I only know this because i have a small debt left on my meter and this is how i check what is left to pay back.
If it does show a debt phone your gas company and ask why.

I would guess the amount of the emergency credit you have used already would show as debt? if it's less than the £3 then I would guess that
Indecision is the key to flexibility :)
