My parents stayed at the Anchor guest house in Dublin and thought it was ideal for sightseeing. The guesthouse was very comfortable and the owners were very helpful .https://www.anchorguesthouse.com will help you. It says that kids under 5 are free and that kids up to 12 are half price so that may benefit you . Good luck
  • I've always used this website

they are very easy to talk to and will search round and find you the best deals. They found me a lovely little hotel in Dublin that I wouldn't of found anywhere else. Highly reccomended

I'd recommend doing a search on venere.com - really helpful website with lots of good maps/reviews, and reasonable prices too (which you also don't have to pay in advance)
Plus for 4% off, use code: BK5HX8W

I think it's a good idea to check out this website even if you find hotels cheaper elsewhere, as the descriptions and maps are generally better than other sites in my opinion.

    Hope that helps

  • i've been to dublin 3 times and on every occasion stayed at abraham house. its actually a hostel, but don't let that tiny little letter s make you have bad visions of damp walls and crowded rooms etc. in the last few years the place has been refurbished and (although i can't remember prices was very reasonable, considering i wanted all my money to go on partying i wouldn't have paid too much). Rooms come in varying sizes with en suites. They range from 2-3 beds upwards. they offer a continental breakfast. I found the place to be clean and staff friendly. I think we had literally a 6 or 7 minute walk to the city centre which was great for getting home from the bars, but also made it far enough not to be in amoungst noise and party revellers so ok for a family! They have a website http://www.abraham-house.ie/ i would always reccomend this place to stay and would have no qualms returning with my family.
