crazy mouse

hi all on my laptop I have the mouse button in the middle of the keyboard. but as soon as i use it the mouse it goes mad and goes all over the place is there way to fix this.

    sounds like one of those older laptops that had a nipple "joystick" in the keyboard...probably between the H,J and N keys that you coud use instead of a touchpad....and it looks like they are posting this message from that very laptop with dodgy keyboard.....

    :rotfl: :rotfl: :rotfl: yeah that "nipple" is the mouse pointer - Toshiba used to provide crocodile textured "covers" The buttons are below the keybrd...

    Perhap Millwall u can google up a manual for that old laptop - is it an IBM or Tosh ?

    Maybe he/she means its the touchpad, maybe the synaptics pointer device driver has gone mental.

    :):):) obviously (GreenNotM) you didn't see the original post....whic he edited just after me and moneymaker replied....if you'd seen it you would probably have understood our posts better....it looked not so much as if he typed it....more more as if a cat had walked over his keyboard :):):)

    yeah that what it is the laptop is a ibm thinkpad 600e when i plug mouse in the back its fine but when i try use the mouse in the middle it goes mad its the picture above the top one

    It is just technique - the driver will have acceleration settings etc ...

    Best thing is to play a few games of minesweeper (Skills - accurate clicking with both buttons) and solitaire (Skills - "drag and drop" and double clicking) - after all that is why the games were choosen to be included in Windows 3.x and why they survive ....
