Adele Tickets concert cancelled

 Can any one help I recently sold a pair of Adele tickets on ebay for my sister in law who was unable to attend the concert.

Now the concert has been cancelled she will be entitled to a full refund from where she got tickets. How does the buyer who bought the tickets on ebay at a higher price fair. Is he entitled to his money back?

thank you for your help.

  • Basically if you aren't supplying the goods then refund in full...

How would you feel if you were the buyer and didn't get your money back :o

So if your sister in law is entitled to a full refund ..... Why ask the obvious?

There is a thread similar on the link below and the ebay customer has not had a refund and was going to use credit/bank card chargeback to reclaim back the money from the sellers bank account.

You could just give the a refund for the total amount they paid, or...

... you could wait until they sue you for the money, and end up having to pay all the costs too!

I'd just refund them the full amount.

EDIT: I see you mentioned higher price, so the amount your SIL will now get back is much less than what she sold them for. I'm afraid in these cases it's just tough luck. Let's hope she hasn't spent the money if you've already given it to her!
Should've = Should HAVE (not 'of')
Would've = Would HAVE (not 'of')

No, I am not perfect, but yes I do judge people on their use of basic English language. If you didn't know the above, then learn it! (If English is your second language, then you are forgiven!)

I am always surprised when people actually have to ask a question like this and when the answer seems so very obvious.

  • So what exactly IS the situation then if I have bought Adele tickets off Ebay and now want a refund, but I think it is outside the 45day Paypal rule so is probably unlikely??
  • Your sister paid £100 for example and will get it back.

The buyer on ebay paid £150 for example and will be entitled to it back from your sister.

Your sister has still got her money back for what she paid - the buyer will get thier money back what they paid - win win. Your sister couldn't go, the concert is cancelled. Your sister has neither lost nor made money.

    Simples.

The concert is cancelled - you should geta refund still. Contact the seller. They will be being refunded and so should you.
