The Department of Environment and Climate Change has issued guidance for people who have fitted or are planning to have fitted solar pv.

It states that to get the 43p FIT rate applications must be submitted and receipt acknowledged by your electricity supplier by midnight on Sunday December 11th.

I emailed Npower and they said the same. I then asked when there offices closed. It was Dec 9th at 5pm. There office is unmanned from then until 9am Monday. So to ensure you get the 43p FIT npower need to receive the FIT application, the MCS certificate for your system, and proof of ownership all by 5pm Friday December 9th.

If you are with another electricity company, and are having a last minute fit like me, you'd better check what their actually deadline for applications is.

It would be good for MSE to look into this situation for the rest of the big 6.

    Welcome to the Forum.

There are several threads on this issue - most in the 'Green' forum with links to the relevant detailed Government documents. Incidentally as yet they are proposals, but it looks pretty certain they will be adopted; albeit there might be scope for minor alterations.

Martin has also written on this on the Home Page and his latest letter.

Not quite sure just what you think MSE can do about this, though there is an article and thread running
