As per subject.
Budget is £500 - £600.
Games in question are COD4 MW, Trackmania Forever.
Suggestions? (Other than don't do gaming on a laptop :rotfl:)

Good luck with that. You're roughly £500 short if you want to buy a new one.0

What about something like that?0 -
Yeah - you might be lucky to get Trackmania working on a ~£600 laptop, but I don't reckon COD will be playable.
Actually, I've just found this (year old) roundup of gaming laptops that might be of interest - the cheapest is £599 so if you don't mind the laptop weighing over 5kg maybe you could get some games to just about play... who knows...?

Bear in mind I'm presently playing using a 256MB 7800GS AGP graphics card.
Current desktop PC specs below (I built this myself 6 years ago and have added/upgraded over time).

Enermax NoiseTaker 420W
Point of View GF7800GS 256MB AGP (430 core, 1305 Mem)

if you can throw £100 more at it you should be able to find something for example http://www.cyberpowersystem.co.uk/system/Xplorer_X6-9200_Notebook/ as according to this http://www.notebookcheck.net/NVIDIA-GeForce-GT-540M.41715.0.html it will have 'ok' performance in cod and trackmainia, however the big problem is the fact they have put a full hd screen on it, which of course will push the gpu when gamingDrop a brand challenge
on a £100 shop you might on average get 70 items save
10p per product = £7 a week ~ £28 a month
20p per product = £14 a week ~ £56 a month
30p per product = £21 a week ~ £84 a month (or in other words one weeks shoping at the new price)0 -
Thanks for the link.
