Laptop memory holder snapped.

I hope I'm explaining this well enough. I tried to fit some memory on a friends laptop this morning, when I opened the back one of the little plastic holders that keep the memory in place at the sides looked loose. Sure enough as I clipped the memory in it snapped off. So the memory wont stay in. Are these fixable and will it cost him and arm and a leg?

And after all that the memory was faulty anyway, replaced the existing 256 and the thing refused to boot. Typical.

I'd recommend some chewing gum or maybe some blue-tac

Cant find anything that will help, but you could try ringing Toshiba to see if there is a part you can get 0870 444 8936

Thanks for the number. I'll give them a try. I'm at a complete loss here. It needs the extra memory.
