Energy monitors for Electricity

Hi there,

I'm with EON energy, my flat only has electricity. I'm thinking of buying an energy monitor from them to monitor usage from time to time, my question is this. I have an off-peak meter and also a peak meter. Is it possible to monitor both? Or do I have to buy two to monitor them both at the same time? I know I have to connect the transmitter to the live cable of the meter, but obviously I can only connect it to one. So I will need two no?

Thanks for your help
Wk

Your existing meter is by far the most accurate way of monitoring consumption.

    Hi Wk

Is it just one meter you have that records your day (peak) and night (off-peak) use?

If so, there’s a timeswitch in your meter that switches between the two registers, so our Energy Monitor will work fine.

Your electricity meter is the most accurate way to record your use but you can use the monitor as an extra tool in cutting down. It doesn’t just tell you how much electricity you’re using, once you’ve set it up with the prices you’re paying, it will display in real-time how much it costs.

There’s lots more info on our website about how the monitors work and if you have an online account with us you might be able to get one for free.

Select 'Energy Fit' from the menu on the left hand side of your online account and look for Starter Pack.

See how you get on and if you need any more info just let me know.

If you have 2 separate meters feeding your CU, then two monitors would be required. For a dual rate meter, one only.
