    Happy Birthday Yargo!!

Starnac - i feel your pain! Both my girls were 15 days overdue - have to get started off with both of them!!! I was hap to with my first as i loved being pg so much but it dragged with dd2!!

I hope everyone is well. Very quiet on here!

I don't know whether my xmas presents for DDs are MSE or a bit mean??

DD1 wants a bike. She isn't fussy - just wants a grown up looking one. i found a lovely one for £70 on tesco. They are doing the voucher exchange for bikes. We have £66 of vouchers so i changed up £35 and got it delivered to store so her main present is free!! The DD2's desk which was £60 suddenly went down to £45 last night. So have both their main presents on order for £45 for the two of them! OH and I have decided to leave it at that. DD1 has a pencil case for £9 that she bugged me for and i may buy a mirror for DD2's desk. That will be it! Bargain but it feels like i am being really cheap!

  • ah lovely OF! Really lovely & grown up you got a corker there! You know I live in Canterbury??? lol

Starnac when I had dd I wzas over my a week but when she was born my dates were wrong as she still had vernix all over her. Fingers crossed it'll be any day

Small things today - not much really at the moment as not in the head space. Trying not to spend loads, but my determination is waivering at the moment. Not getting into debt or being as frugal as I should be but life's hard right now & recognise I can't do everything! Phew got that off of my chest!!!

    Today:
    read martin's email
ate "free" tomato soup & toast at work (basically one of my colleagues left a tin of soup in the cupboard so will have to replace it, toast on the other hand was free)
defrosted mash frozen to have with dinner actually quite proud of this one!)
updated expenses sheet - should be getting back in the region of £120 this payday

    hope to
make veg soup to use up veg
    pay a bill
have a bath, a glass of wine & read a book

    Happy Wednesday everyone x

Thanks Perni. I'm just hoping he doesn't take as long as his sister (10 days over)

It could be worse, apparently I was 2 weeks late :o Oops sorry Mum! She gave birth to me on Mother's Day though lol.

Excellent sounds like a good night!

Orange Fairy - How old are your DD's again? & how many gifts are they likely to get from other family members/friends? If they're going to get spoiled rotten regardless I'd leave it at that & maybe put the spare money aside for something nice you can all do as a family (or debt of course ;)), or failing that if you feel really stingey still just get a few more small, cheap gifts & check out the sales/online with cashback to make the most of your pennies! No need to go overboard with it at all & despite what the big companies would have us believe, xmas isn't ruined if there's only a few nice gifts rather than a tonne of tat.
