Mortgage proof of Address requirements

Evening everyone!
I'm currently attempting to sort out my mortgage and have been asked for proof of address. I can't find much (as everything is now online) but I did fine a letter from my electricity company advising me off the changes to costs which has my address and account number on it. Would this work as a proof of address? The guide says a utility bill and I don't know if the bill part is important or if any correspondence from a utility firm would suffice?
Thanks for the help.

We can only tell you what's generally acceptable. You need to ask your lender for its specific requirements.
If you are using a passport as your identity item, you can normally use your driving licence as your address item.
Failing that, your last council tax bill or mortgage statement could be used. Bank statement, utility bill, HMRC correspondence (as long as each is dated within the last three months) would normally be acceptable.I am a mortgage broker. Thanks King however I have already sent off the stuff.
I used a council tax bill as address proof 1, License as ID and a letter from the utility company as address proof 2 i'm now just thinking that they might reject that address proof 2 and should I start trying to find something else just in case?0
