Appealing mortgage decisions - First Direct / Santander

It turns out one broker did actually talk to someone they knew at Santander and they said it was because of not being registered at an address - perhaps the letter from the council might help here then. I expect First Direct as everyone seems to suggest are just more strict so don't hold out much hope with them.

Not really sub-prime.

It's just a case of not being able to see a track record of him borrowing and making payments back on a credit commitment.

So it is a case of finding a lender that will give the right income multiples needed based on his sole income and limited credit history.
