Im not up with all of this. All I need is IE and CAD and Microsoft Office stuff definately kept on. I downloaded Avast as suggested as my virus checker.

Should I be doing anything with that R1 proxy 127.0.0.1 - what is that for please?

the proxy entry should be visible in IE, tools, internet options, connections, lan settings, and you should be able to delete it, and check that none of the boxes are ticked. Alternatively you could tick and fix that one entry using hijackthis

you've still got winpcap, nokia software installed, and still have narrator, ctfmon running at startup
