Electric problems

I had a problem with my electric 4 times it went on and off very quick, the fourth time the pump packed up on my fish tank western electric are now saying its not their problem a new pump is £110 anyone know where I stand.

This is a bit of a grey area. Electricity suppliers must meet legal standards of quality of supply, in terms of voltage and frequency. However there are get-outs with respect to WHY the supply quality may fail (e.g. !!!!!! nicking loads of cable).
There's been a recent incident in Rainham (?) where the supplier has supposedly made a goodwill, without liability offer of £200 to all affected properties (there was a thread on here about this), but this is not to say that your supplier would do likewise. Have they said WHY the power failed?0 -
No reason given as to what the problem was with the electric but I am going to contact them again and say I want the matter looked into and take it further if needs be0
