And seeing as you've already trained Dr Dragon to take out the recycling, now is the perfect time to begin training him on general household chores like cleaning up after himself (I swear, no matter how fab and wonderful they are, most men either don't see a certain level of mess/dirt, or believe in the cleaning fairy!).

The only things I can manage to do are clean the loo, 2 sinks and the stove topso I think asking him to do that would be really unfair (well until the disability gets worse then he may have too or find a decent cleaner!)
Okay - today I want to get a parcel and a letter sent (another bit of cross stitch stash re-homed) then do I read or crochet? :undecided

So what you're saying, is that you can clean the important things - then why are you all apologetic about everything else?!
Plus, you're a crafter dahhhhlllling - a free spirit, not bound by the usual constraints of housekeeping (at least that's what I'm telling myself as I look round my pit...so I see no reason why you can't share my excuse!).
On the dilemma - crochet for a little while, then read when your arms/fingers get tired.0 -

Hmm you have a very good point there! and I like the idea of being a free spirit (mind you free spirits of the Plymouth Gin variety might be even better :rotfl:), crochet it is after lunch (I should have found my crochet from where is it buried on the sofa by then). Oh and I have been out and posted the parcel and letter so I have been a good Dragon (and a vast improvement on this time last week when I could barely get out of bed because of the cold/flu bug, pain and the weather!)

Well back in the land of the [STRIKE]hobbling[/STRIKE]walking wounded
, was going up to bed on Saturday night when I fell, hit my head, twisted my shattered ankle, landed on my "been broken before" right wrist and my crutches twisted around my lower arms AND hit bits of me so I have some cracking bruises AND can barely move :wall:

Okay couple of bits of news, I am getting a cleaner :T, this may not be very MSE but it is necessary as I really cannot clean the house and it is just making me depressed so from that point of view it is a bargain
Other news, the bathroom floor got an unexpected clean, I fell standing up to get out of the bath and being a "traditionally built lady" *cough* blimmin large *cough* there was rather a lot of water sploosh!Do not meddle in the affairs of Dragons, for thou art crunchy and good with catsup

are you ok Mrs Dragon my friend? the first time i tried to use our new smaller bath we had an unexpectedly cleaned floor as i'd put too much water into the tub. Never had a bath in it since, i'm too scared/embarrased/horrified.
well done for getting the cleaner, it will help keep you sane and mean you can spend your energy on the things you enjoy not on the boring things like cleaning.
well done on your weight loss, that's great! you've lost more than VAT which is a great achievement.0 -
