Just as a larf I got my score from Experian.
With six satisfied defaults and a bankruptcy order on the file my score came out as 877 - three points away from "Good".
Lol. Accurate... I don't think many creditors would consider someone with an Experian file like mine to be Fair / Good. More like "Shockingly Sh**e".Cashback Earned ¦ Nectar Points £68 ¦ Natoinwide Select £62 ¦ Aqua Reward £100 ¦ Amex Platinum £48

I had HSBC's credit card. They only do the one. I had it for about ten years. The cards I have applied for are Barclaycard and Amex as they seem to suit my business circumstances best with all of the travel i do.
If it's foreign travel, Barclaycard/Amex are pretty awful. Both levy about 2.75% loading on foreign transactions.
Of course some flavours of Amex (eg Amex Plat Chargecard) can be worth it for the travel insurance benefits/Priority Pass etc. Also if your company doesn't care about paying the loading and you can scoop up the airmiles etc., then it can also work.0 -
As you have made two recent applications it looks like you are desperate for credit. You would probably be best approaching your own bank in the first instance and see what they can offer.0
