Whose Done Turkey via a Late Deal ???

Afternoon all....

Trying to weigh up my options here, so looking for bits of info
Plan:
Fly to Dalaman - Turkey on 1st June, stay till 11th (10 nights).
Wanting 4* min......
I can fly from Cardiff for those dates (as well flying from Luton if needed)
Now, the thing is, theres 2 of us (me and the wife), looking for a nice hotel, by the beach, and not too far from the nightlife (that being Karaoke bars!!!)
I can see a packaged holiday now with Thomascook, and its like £734 each, for AI 4*, 10 nights at 'Grand Pasa' hotel... baggage and transfers inc..... (Marmaris location)
To me, thats an obscene amount of money, i thought AI hols would be like £450!!
Is it worth just hanging on till next year, May even... and then looking to find the same or similar deal, flying from Cardiff/luton/gatwick, etc....

I've read on tripadvisor about peeps doing last min deals in September and getting 4* AI for 1 week for £400 in a few places... am looking at Marmaris for the location, so has anyone done a last min deal this year flying in June to Turkey ? (and yes, i know its the school holiday as well).....

Not in England ( Cardiff ??) Private schools in England finishes early July , Scottish a little earlier.

Thats about right , add another £200 if flying out mid July.

June is hotter than September , will be more expensive.

pasa beach is on the beach (but i am not reccommending it), grand pasa i have stayed at, its not exactly by the beach a few streets walk down. then over a main road, its in the amutalan area.
just to add i would advise you to request a pool view(i did but was not allocated one) we were given a room that overlooked a rubbish tip from the hotel opposite it was a corner room that was very close to another hotel that held a disco in its grounds not far from our room blasting loud music till very late.another side of the hotel overlooks another hotel pool area. my son and his friend stayed in one of these rooms and because he couldnt sleep for the noise they moved him to pasa beach(he had been out to bar street most nights so prob had a self inflicted headache).

Half term is Mon 4th June to the 8th here in England. Can't you change those dates?

I too am looking for a holiday/flight that week, I have to have that week as I work in school and we usually have a week in Hisaronu. I cant believe the prices this time. We can fly from either Manchester, Liverpool or Leeds/Bradford, just a flight is in the high £400s or more, packages £700. Might wait and see if they drop

in Cardiff, the school half term is from June 4th to 8th -
But also my aniversary on the 7th, hence picking that week....

Looking at prices as they are, 10 nights in Turkey - 4* at Grand Pasa 'AI' = £734 each.....
9 Nights in Las Vegas staying at the Hilton Grand on the strip with indirect flights = £772

For me, the Vegas one makes sense to cost a lot, guess i'm just too used to paying less than £300 each time i've been to the canaries and so on
