Funny that - our earlier DC01 manual said don't use Shake & Vac, and we didn't risk it. I regularly use it with our DC07 (one difference = washable filters) and I've never had a problem.I really must stop loafing and get back to work...0 -
We have an eight year old Dyson DC2 and the motor packed up last Friday.
We phoned Dyson who operate their own repair service (with their own vans - not some outsourced thing), who called today at 0830 as arranged and repaired it completely for £55 including parts labour and call-out.
Given that the motor is the main part on the cleaner, I call that damned good value.
In fact, the inclusive price of £55 is guaranteed to cover ANY parts and labour required. And their customer services are open 8-8 M-Su.
All in all, thumbs up from me to Dyson.0 -
Thumbs up to my Dyson DC04 - great on all surfaces, picks up dog hair no bother and when I have broken it I've managed to fix it myself (& I'm no expert!). Also have had a Henry which was great, but not so good on dog hair.£2 savers club - £62
Relaunched grocery challenge:
March target: £150 on food, £50 on other stuff - still not doing very well at keeping track...

Begs the question - is it not slowly destroying your carpets?Time is an illusion - lunch time doubly so.0
