Sky FreeSat Help Please

We have cancelled our Sky subscription and it comes into effect next week.

I know we will still be able to get certain channels via the Sky box using our existing card, or, we can spend £20 for a new card to enable us to get FreeSat

I have found online a listing of what channels FreeSat offer, but what I havent been able to find, is details of what channels we will get through our Sky box WITHOUT a card.

Can anyone help?

that is easy pull the card out of the box and see what is available, sky will automatically make your card freesat when your subscription expires

I have been using my Sky box without a card recently and the only difference I can see between no card and the Freesat card is Channel 4, which the latter has. There may be some differences in the weirdo God-bothering and shopping channels but I don't watch those.

Leave your sky card in (they won't ask for it back) and you get EXACTLY the same channels as freesat. No need to spend the £20, you would just get the same card you already have.

I get the free channels on the box upstairs BUT there is no Sky Sports News - is this right??

Same here my Dad has my old Sky Box & Card but no Sky Sports News, but with my PC Freeview PC Card & Laptop Frecom USB Dongle I get Sky Sports News

According to the Sky FreeSat website, you don't get Sky Sports news.

If you watch through Freeview you do get it.

Seems a bit daft, but there you go.
