Is it worth investing £100 - £300?

I have received a PPI repayment and using some to move, some for a holiday but I thought what could I do, if anything with between £100-£300? I know that premium bonds are pointless, gambling is pointless etc so is there anything that I can invest it in and get anything back?
Probably not, but I thought I would ask?!

For a lump sum of £100-£300, I wouldn't bother.so is there anything that I can invest it in and get anything back?
Single share investing would be very risky as you don't have enough capital to diversify your risk and transactions costs would be a large percentage of your outlay (e.g. maybe a 5% spread, £10 buying costs, £10 selling costs).
I think many unit trusts have a £500 minimum lump sum.
Keep saving for now. Come back when you have more cash.0 -
You could buy some non-perishable food goods. Some things in my supermarket have gone up over 10% a year. That's a 10% return on your investment compared to buying later.Skip dipper and proud....0

with 100-300 then stocks and other equties would mean a large part of the capital would be eaten up by dealing charges. With 300 and a low charge structrure you could make money over time if you choose the right share.
But for 100 quid, I'd buy premium bonds. The money is there if you need it, and each month you could win a prize. Is it
great' investment? No, but better than putting it in a piggy bank or in an acct paying less than BOE rate. And unlike gambling, you can have your stake back even after you 'lose'.0
